On the right to protest

I created this image for an open call on the right to protest across Europe, currently being curtailed as Amnesty International reports.

I chose to set the illustration at dawn, symbolizing hope and new beginnings.
Protesting is a serious act of commitment, but it also fosters powerful connections, a deep sense of community, self-expression, and a richer understanding of the world we live in. It is a way to bring true beauty and change into our society. At the same time, it’s important to recognize that there is no single path to making a difference—each one of us must find our own way.

At times, society can feel as rigid and unyielding as the city’s concrete. But we must always remember that society is us. Together, we have the power to shake the unshakable. Together, our voices and actions are far greater than they appear.
